A certificate of origin is an international trade document certifying that goods in a particular shipment are produced, manufactured, or processed in a specific country. It is used by customs authorities to determine applicable tariffs and verify the origin of goods.
The Amman Chamber of Commerce issues certificates of origin for Jordanian agricultural and animal products, raw natural resources, re-exported foreign goods, and foreign goods purchased from the local market under specific conditions. It also issues certificates for Jordanian industrial products upon request by exporters, based on an original factory invoice certified by an industrial chamber and a duly authenticated certificate confirming Jordanian origin.
